Requirements to Rent
We keep our requirements straightforward. Here's what you need to qualify for a rental with M&P Shore Rentals.
Valid Driver's License
A current, valid driver's license is required. Must be in good standing with no major suspensions.
Approved for Uber or Lyft
You must already be approved and active on the Uber or Lyft platform before renting.
Auto Insurance
You must carry your own auto insurance policy that covers rideshare driving at all times.
List M&P Shore Rentals as Additional Insured
Your insurance policy must list M&P Shore Rentals as an additional insured party. This is mandatory.
Who Does Not Qualify
To protect our fleet and ensure safety, the following will disqualify an application:
- No active Uber or Lyft account
- No valid auto insurance
- Suspended or revoked driver's license
- Unwilling to list M&P Shore Rentals as additional insured
- History of vehicle repossession or fraud
- Outside of New Jersey service area

Important Rental Policies
We believe in full transparency. Please read and understand all policies before applying. These terms are part of your rental agreement.
Insurance Requirement
Renter must maintain their own auto insurance at all times during the rental period. Coverage must remain active — any lapse is a violation of the rental agreement.
Weekly Payment Requirement
Weekly payments are required and automatically charged in advance. Payments must be made on time each week to maintain uninterrupted access to the vehicle.
Repossession Policy
Failure to make a weekly payment will result in vehicle repossession after 24 hours. No exceptions. The vehicle will be recovered immediately upon non-payment.
Tolls & Fees
The security deposit is used to cover tolls and applicable fees. Any toll charges exceeding the deposit amount will be added to the renter's next weekly payment.
Damage Responsibility
Renter is fully responsible for all damages caused by negligence, misuse, or accidents during the rental period. The company is not liable for renter negligence.
No Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable once the rental period begins. This includes weekly rental fees and the security deposit once applied.
GPS Tracking
All vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking for security and recovery purposes. By renting, you consent to vehicle location monitoring at all times.
No Account Sharing
Renter cannot allow other drivers to use the vehicle or share rideshare platform accounts. The vehicle is for the approved renter only.
Approved Use Area
Vehicle must be used only within approved geographic areas. Unauthorized use outside approved zones is a violation of the rental agreement.
Violations & Tickets
Renter is solely responsible for all traffic tickets, tolls, impound fees, parking violations, and any other fines incurred during the rental period.
Company Liability
M&P Shore Rentals is not responsible for any losses, damages, or liabilities resulting from renter negligence, misuse of the vehicle, or violations of the rental agreement.
No Income Guarantee
M&P Shore Rentals makes no guarantees regarding income, earnings, or platform availability. Rideshare earnings depend entirely on the renter's own efforts and platform conditions.
